Ultra4 Racing Set to Invade Utah: 2011 American RockSports Challenge
For the first time ever, Ultra4 Racing is coming to Utah. Ultra4 cars are a new breed of race machine; they are unlimited 4 wheel drive vehicles that compete in races like the King of The Hammers, and they are set to invade the award-winning Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT July 14-16. These cars have top speeds in excess of 100 mph and can rock crawl over the most brutal terrain. This event, known as the American Rocksports Challenge, will do something that’s never been done at Miller Motorsports before by combining both the short course track and the man-made rock crawling course into one race to showcase the unique capabilities of the Ultra4s.
If you haven’t had a chance to experience these cars in person, this is your opportunity! This year’s King of The Hammers, Shannon Campbell, and last year’s King, Loren Healy, will both be competing in this event. 42 of the fastest Ultra4 cars and drivers will be on hand to race side-by-side for the first time ever on a totally enclosed course! It will be intense racing action that is fun for the whole family. Many of the top 20 Ultra4 Series competitors will be competing in this event.
Admission is free on Friday for those wanting to catch the qualifying rounds starting around 10AM. Tickets are $15 a person for Saturday, July 16th for 8 hours of non-stop racing action starting at 10AM with gates opening at 8. Tickets can be purchased online at www.smithstix.com or at the gate.
