The thing that concerns me with yours is that cable + shock load = bad
Ya but I saved like $18.00

To clarify, Mine is not a "limit strap" in the normal sense. I don't really need a limit strap, but rather use my rear winch to preload the back end. It is very useful for steep dropoffs.
One thing to keep in mind....early on in my rear-winch experience, I'd suck the rear down a LOT when coming down nastyness. If you drop off something that will pick the rear end up and make you need to punch the gas to keep it upright, make sure you leave yourself some compression travel for the landing. I bent chassis tubes and hurt my back a little when the rear landed like that after being sucked down really far. After that, I'd just tension the rope a little, so it basically just held the rear where level ride height would be, give or take.
Might be common sense, but apparently I didn't think about it at the time--so now I'm mentioning it.
I am using a chain on the rear axle and the only problem I have had is, I use one of those links that thread open (I have no idea what there called) and the vibration caused it to come open and bent the link.
for the front axle I am using tailgate cables for an F-350 and they seem to be working well they were $7.00 ea I will let you know when they break and how much damage I sustained being cheap
Well since I said I would be back to tell you all how much damage was caused by being cheap Here I am
At EJS I broke the front cable/limit strap which caused the brake line to rip in half and ripped the shock apart and bent it.
Damage
Shock $209.00
brake line $17.00
original strap $7.00
EST tax $15.00
Total loss for saving $18.00 is $-248.00

I should have known it was going to break as just the day before Meat said your cables seem to be working pretty good.
And I guess they were till they broke. Though the cable did not actually break it came out of the end where it is clamped in.
I think that's actually much closer to real life. Seems like we talked about those at the DATC show too LOL
ps I'd like my bolt back out of your rear "limit strap" hahahahah
