Had the morning off, removed my bumpers to get some mod's done on them. I sure hope I can get them back on. The body is just a tad tweaked

Nows a good time to weld on some unibody stiffners. The kits are only about 170-250.

It has some stiffening done :-\ I think the cracks were prob. introduced before long arms , and unibody stiffeners.

Yeah, probably not the smartest idea to stiffen up a already tweaked body. I would still do it though;)

Dom, that big nasty crack almost looks like a failure from collision and repair to me.
Are there any other signs that it has been hit in the rear? mask lines, overspray... anything? Pull your door seals on the rear doors and see if there is a paint difference or any weirdness there. I know mine has been hit in the rear and repaired, but I've never seen a crack like that on mine.

Edit:
On closer review there looks to be some other weirdness around there that supports this theory. Are there any other cracks that you can see? I just don't see how there could be much normally occurring chassis pressure in that spot. There are lots of places that seem to make sense for a grand to crack, but that doesn't seem like one of them... is this a common spot?

My ZJ was so bad, the sunroof wouldn't shut. I waited far too long to stiffen the chassis.

I guess it's possible however I bought it from the original owner and he was pretty forward about any dings or dents he had repaired. Also there is another crack much smaller but similar on the opposite corner. I haven't ever noticed any overspray or anything.
