The trip during EJS was a blast. We did Helldorado a couple of times. I'll skip all the talk and just go to the pics at the waterfall near the end of the trail.

Nice job Craig! We have some crappy quality video footage of your attempt on the first night. How does it feel now? :D

Great pics, way to go. I take a few of the first pics were from a different attempt?

The photos are from three tries at the waterfall. The first try was in 1st gear at 3/4 throttle. The second was full throttle with a bad line that almost resulted in a roll. The third and final try was in 2nd gear at 15 lbs. boost on a good line. At 15 lbs. boost it was like launching in a drag car at the strip. The Commando mostly jumped the waterfall on this run.

To answer the question, it still feels good. I have been trying that rock for 10 years and only made it once with a spotter rope and Dallas pulling on it. I like climbing hard obstacles more than anything else because of the adrenalin rush when your done. That one lasted a good 30 minutes before the shaking went away. I usually don't get into the throttle that much, but the KC video crew were filming the run and if your going to roll, it should be on film.

That second attempt was awesome, I don't know how you didn't roll! Your tires grabbed the rocks and just hung there, it was really amazing.
I think I lost my nerve not having wheeled for a year, maybe next time I will get over it unassisted. Those KC guys were pretty cool, they got some good video that day
That reminds me, lol, I have about a dozen KC stickers I need to peel off my buggy still!

Nice photo's! :D

I'd like to make it up that obstacle sometime. Any sugestions on the best way for a longer wheelbase (110'-113') vehicle would climb that? Would it be possible to crawl in LWB rig? I thought I was close last time. I'm hoping to make it next time if I can find the right line.

Yeah, Craig and I were hanging out that day, having a good time! Oh, and his boy too, sorry! They are great to wheel with, Craig stops to talk to everyone on the trail, and he really loves the sport :) I would wheel with him anytime!

Three things that help:

1.A heavy right foot
2.BFG soft Krawlers
3.Good line (stay to the right)
4.Lots of luck
