URGENT! 4runner cv boot

My buddy and I are out in Moab and he noticed that he has a pin size hole in a CV boot. We are worried about what this small hole could progress to. Is it still wheel able? Should we call it a day?

I'd just tape it up

run it, it will just take in some dirt and whatnot. i'd just clean it up, re-grease and change the boot when u get home.

or do what i did, run it into the ground till it pops and clicks then replace the whole cv. they're so cheap anymore. haha

If you have some superglue or tire plug glue you could seal it up and hopefully keep it from getting bigger, but it won't hurt anything. If it gets bigger it might spew grease all over his undercarriage which is a PITA to clean up.
