Used Oil & Antifreeze Recycling?

Where (in Salt Lake County) can I bring containers of used oil and antifreeze and just drop them off? I would prefer not to open up the containers and dump them myself. Flame me if you want, but I don't like to get oil on my hands and then have to get in my nice clean car and drive home... Where do you guys take the stuff?

For oil you can drop it off at most oil changing places or parts stores. Anti freeze is accepted at 4646 South 500 West (they also take oil). This is a government building and you need to go inside and fill out a small form then they will let you go back and drop it off.

What is with making you sign papers and give information to drop off oil anyways?

I don't care about signing papers. Places I've taken it in the past have made me empty my small containers into their large container, which invariably gets oil on my hands/clothes, which invariably gets on my seats/steering wheel/shifter/everything. That's the part I want to avoid. So where can I take it that only requires me to sign papers, and doesn't require me to empty containers?

You could always just put it back into the container the new came from and throw it in the trash then you wouldn't have to worry about getting it on your hands..

or get some rubber gloves from harbor freight for a couple bucks then your hands wont get dirty.

you could do a full body prophylactic just as easy if needs be

oil and oil filters you can drop off at any walmart tire lube express and they will take it for you... they will empty it into their containers themself due to they don't trust us to do it right and into the correct containers....

You can even take it by late at night and drop it off by the back doors and they will take care of it in the morning... (by the way your on camera as dropping it off so park the car somewhere and then walk up to the doors and drop it off)
