Welcome to RME. We have a training day coming up for people new to the area, new to wheeling, or people who just want to meet new wheeling buddies. One of the most popular classes is on Friday night, where we sit around the campfire and talk about trails that are available. People share their favorite wheeling spots at the fire and you meet people who can show you those trails. Logan has some cool trails, and I've heard it's fun up above the B. We'd love to have you come out to the training. You'll also have a chance to practice driving your rig over a variety of terrain at the training day. We have expert spotters there to help make sure you stay safe and don't damage your rig. We hope to see you there!

i'd love to go but i need to get a new rear driveshaft, the pinion yoke broke and it swung around and bent the crap out of it, so i pulled out the rear d/s and drove out in 4wd.

maybe next time

Any time someone ditches the ttb front end that is a good thing

I had a fullsize bronco with a d60 up front.

I also like it when people put sensible parts in a vehicle and don't stick with brand loyalty. it is hard to beat a SB chevy...

i get paid on tuesday and if i can get it done in time i will try. but since i work parts/service at Honda-Suzuki of Salt Lake i am required to work saturdays and i need at least 2 weeks notice to get a saturday off.

well i'm not brand-loyal, dollar-per-horsepower a cammed-out, 230psi compression, fuel injected 350 would cost half what a ford would have. i built the engine for about $700.00.
and i get 14mpg. i just want to wrench and wheel you know? i don't have one of those stickers of "calvin peeing on ____________" i don't care

its actually a shortened chev frame that i took 42" out of. and put the bII body onto, that was much easier to do that then to adapt rear axle, front, axle, shocks, transmission, transfer case, engine mounts etc. all to a ford frame

That doesn't look anything like the B-2 I worked on in Palmdale, CA.

I just noticed that I had not replied to this back in 2012 and thought it deserved an answer. I was a Procurement Specialist and coordinated procurement of parts and supplies between procurement and all facilities like engineering and manufacturing. I got to sit in the cockpit and work with the flight simulator but no actual mechanic work. I was stationed in Pico Rivera and they would fly me up to Lancaster when the need arrived. It was a great job and it took a 13 year chunk out of my life.
