Vendor List

Humm... not really helpful for us trying to support local vendors. Most forms I see have an easier access to forum vendors. Example in an none competitive site: http://www.rzrforums.net/forums.php
Check out Supporting Vendors,
Just sayin,

I understand, me personally I dislike the idea of a sub-forum for every vendor. There does also seem to be a lot of turnover with vendors, so it isn't easy to maintain an updated list.

ok, thanks for the reply. How about a list that is a sticky, listing out the current vendor and their website.

Before I buy anything I like to know who supports the board, I would typically like to use them first. I'm sure that the vendors would appreciate that. Also, it makes it much easier for us "simple" people to find what/who we are looking for.

If I was a vendor, I would be looking for a way that would net me the most exposure for my money. There are two that I see constantly posting on the forum so I know their, there.

I would also wonder, and may be you could ask the vendors, if you did do a "preferred" vendor list, as listed it in my example, may be they would pay a little more and would be required to commit to a "X" amount of months agreement for the additional exposure RME would provide.

This is a Killer local board, any local or semi local vendor would be foolish not to support this board.

I bet, it would pay off for both RME and the vendors.

As stated, just sayin.

I like the idea Shawn. I'll tinker and see if we can get a dynamic list of current vendors posted on a page somewhere.

I like that, any chance on getting a small description on what each vendor handles? Like 100-150 characters, if the vendor chooses to submit a description.

cool. Good Idea. I also kind of like the idea of sub-forums for vendors who pay a little more, and for those who don't want to pay the extra $$, there is the general vendor sections. Or maybe have the sub forums all on a seperate page accessed by a link on the main page so that people don't have to scroll past them on the main page every time they're on RME.....

I've seen those on various boards and I RARELY take the time to sift through all of those. A single section where vendors could post up specials or something might get some interest from me.
