Vented fj40 hood

Was this a factory hood at one point? Modified? Maybe aftermarket? I have been around a lot of Cruisers in my life & have never seen one that looks like this.. I apologize in advance for the crappy picture.

Yep, it's a factory hood that has been 'louvered'. It's done to help dissipate engine heat and was really popular in the old-school hot rod days of the 50's.
