I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what this rattle could be. When my jeep sits and idles I can hear a rattle coming from underneath. I used a stethoscope and determined the rattle is for sure coming from the bell housing or the gearbox itself. It shifts fine, all the gears work smoothly and the clutch seems to be fine too.. Any suggestions? I'm not sure what model tranny I have, but it's a manual 5 speed on a 2000 TJ with the 2.5 L.
