This vehicle drives really well. I drive it to work and school every day. With this ZJ, you can drive to Moab, wheel Pritchett Canyon and drive home. No need for a trailer! As with any rig that can wheel Pritchett, there is a little wear and tear.

_Vehicle Info_
Drivetrain:
Engine: Stock 5.2. Full 3" exhaust
Tranny: Stock Auto (46RE?). No slipping.
T-case: 231 with fixed output.
Front axle:
  • Ford hp44 from a FS Bronco
  • 4.56 Gears
  • Warn Premium hubs
  • Warn Shafts
  • CTM Joints
  • Diff Skid
  • Spool
Rear axle:
  • Dynatrac Built 60
  • 4.56 Gears
  • Detroit Locker
  • Disk Brakes
Suspension:
  • About 5.5" of total lift (all professionally built by Carl Whitmore)
  • Front:
  • Custom lengthened radius arms with summit flex joints at the frame end (built 11-2010)
  • Tracbar Conversion (no more TRE at the frame side)
  • Rancho RS 9000 Shocks
  • Bump Stops
  • Center Limiting Strap
  • Rear:
  • Custom Triangulated 4 Link Rear
  • Bilstein 5100 Shocks
Tires/wheels:
  • 35 x 12.5 r17 General Grabber MT's (the new ones)
  • 17 x 9 Black Rock Viper aluminum wheels

Other Stuff:
  • AC works well. Just replaced the accumulator
  • Anti-rock swaybars up front
  • ORGS Super nerf rocker protection
  • New joints in the steering, new tracbar, new drag link, New BDS coils up front, 4 bolt waggy box is ported for hydro assist, but hydro assist is not installed
  • Full flat belly skid plate
  • Kevins Offroad Bucket seats
  • ARB front bumper with M8000 winch (cable)
  • Custom rear bumper (high clearance, not technically street legal [ 1" too short]. That being said, I had no problem getting it registered)
  • JBL GTI component speakers up front, Pioneer CD/MP3 deck

Things recently fixed:
  • Fixed AC
  • Relocated charcoal canister for emissions
  • Replaced windshield
  • Siliconed shut sunroof
  • Re-welded spring perches up front
  • Re-built the teraflex joints in the rear
  • Fixed drivers door so it knows when it's being unlocked
  • Added Teraflex quick disconnect mud flaps
  • Fixed rear hatch.

Still needs some attention:
  • Check engine light (possibly catalytic converter).
  • Windshield Squirters are too low of pressure to do anything, and I think there is a leak in one of the lines
  • Headliner sags (held up very effectively by thumb tacks)
  • No Horn (wiring)
  • No Emergency Brake (the hardware is there, but I haven't investigated further)
  • Rubicon Express joints in the rear need some TLC.

This rig drives really well on the road AND will do any trail you can throw at it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Horn and cruise don't work, sounds like it needs a new clock spring, you may want to look into it so it will pass inspection for the new buyer. I have a steering wheel puller you can borrow if you need it, had the same problem last year.

Your worse than your dad with vehicle ADHD....

Haha, yes the vehicle-ADHD was inherited. I'm even worse with computers.

The horn doesn't work because it had an air horn hooked up to it which was removed by the previous owner. I'm not sure what is needed to fix that. The cruise light on the dash does come on when you hit the button, but it doesn't maintain speed.

I'm bummed to see this up for sale so soon. :(

There isn't a horn there, but the wiring is in there for it. I'm sure you could pull one from a yard and wire it pretty easily. As for the cruise, my gut feeling is that it's just the contacts in the column/lever thingy are gummed up. The variable speed wipers didn't use to work, and over time and use they started to work again. I'm not sure how hard it would be to take apart that lever and check it out.

If there are any questions that Eric can't answer, I'm happy to help out. This rig works really well, and is amazingly streetable considering how built it is.

Bump for a great ride.

Yeah Cody, I hear you. He's heading back to college in a couple weeks and works full time and just a bit overwhelmed. It is a great rig.

Thanks Milner, glad to see you're at least alive.

$4k and I will be there with a trailer. Not an insult, just things are tight. Think of it as a way out if you want to take it.
