I purchased this Jeep mainly because of my 16 year old Daughter. I used to have a 95 YJ that I built into a pretty capable weekend warrior. But when my 2 kids were small, I sold it to get something a little more family friendly. My daughter would always mention that she wished we still had the Jeep every time we saw a similarly built Jeep.
My intention is to build this up into a capable Expo vehicle. Something that we can take camping, fishing, tow dirt bikes, or whatever else we can think to use it for. And I want to do this on the cheap! So far, I have been able to source most of the mods used or take advantage of some sort of sale or another. The Jeep was pretty much stock when I purchased it, and the previous owners took really good care of it.
I have involved my daughter in most of this build so far, and hope to continue to do so until we get it to exactly where we both want it to be. Then I plan on giving it to her when she moves on to college, if she still wants it by then.
On the list of things still needing to be done are a rear bumper with Tire carrier. I already have a base for this that I got from BlackZJ. Sliders, new good shocks to replace the Ranchos that are currently on there, a CB, lighting, lockers, gears, 33" tires.....
Anyway, thanks for checking it out!
