Do you have Stacked blocks on the back? It sure looked like it. If it is two blocks stacked to get your rear lift then I would suggest redoing it with one taller. I am pretty sure that using multiple blocks is illegal. Also every 4x internet site will tell you that is a timebomb waiting to happen. I am not an expert on either statements I made just. it is just what I have been shown and told while web wheeling for years.

Yeah stacked blocks will fail it for sure.

2 1/2" spring perch, with a block on top. If it was going to fail, it would have by now.

Eventually I will end up with links and air bags in the rear.

So are you trying to get this to be accepted as a military truck with a gvrw of over 26 k so no frame mearsurments? A good friend of mine had similar trouble with 42's on a dodge 2500. Took him 3 uhp inspections smaller tires, smaller lift and changing flares, mudflaps to get his to pass the frame height/inspection issue. I can almost guarantee, they are going to consider it over the legal 28 inch for a over 7500 gvrw. With the uhp, very seldom will they say, yeah thats close enough. Good luck though!

$80!

After all the work and stress, I go in, pay $40 per violation and Im out the door!

Only if I wanted to fight the ticket, did I need to fix anything.

So, now Im closer to legal. Hopefully I wont get bugged as much.

I guess the big inconvenience was driving from Idaho to appear in court.;)

Big truck, loud exhaust, big tires, no attempt at making it legal is going to get you pulled over all the time. Big truck, loud exhaust, big mud flaps, fender flares most officers are going to look the other way because you are trying.

Yep, at least it looks like im trying now.

I keep in quiet in town for the most part, the whole 94" tall thing makes it stand out.

lol, that photo was a fluke... I never took off the 46's

But I have to rotate them, ugh.

The tape measure photos were taken over my sidewalk, which is raised.

The picture with the 11.00r20's was a old build photo

I like it! You really have tried to address the issues that attracted the UHP. I agree with KGB. You have now made an honest attempt, I hope they will leave you alone.

they should stay off your back now and you put up a good fight.

i got pulled over in moab for no mudflaps, fender flairs.

put a huge set of removable flaps on the back up high so you can not see the
tires from the rear of the vehicle and have been followed by uhp and not pulled over since.

oh and by the way im running 40s on my yota the michelin xml

I would be interested to see what your official opinion of this truck is now that he has done all the work.

Would you write him any tickets or give him any warnings for anything specific? I know you said you don't write "Fix It" tickets... but would there be anything specific?
Thanks!
Matt
Now thats some pretty good reading right there, I think I got half way through:rofl:

Well being new here and also being a Police officer in Utah I might be able to lend a hand...If you get MAIL in the state of Utah you are considered a resident of the state and therefore are required to register your vehicle and obtain a Utah state drivers license as well as obey all the kookey laws here...

Honestly I would put some 28'' tires on and get your frame to the legal height and that would take care of some if not most of your problems and have them sign off on it...I know it will look awful but it gets you through with minimal work...

As far as court goes it all depends on your judge on what happens to ya...

I dont write fixit ticket nor would I ever...

Oh and im NOT a trooper...

Congrats on the $80 fine first off:greg:...

The Only thing I would do (if I did that sort of thing) is measure the frame to the ground but other than that it does look like he's trying to comply with the UHP...I wouldnt look twice at it anyways and if I did it would be to shoot the ****;)...
