Vonage so far

So we've had Vonage for about a month and I can report the following:

... I like it enough to keep it.

Transmission quality is perfect. We've been calling England a lot lately and there is no lag whatsoever. The virtual number we got my sister in law seems to work fine for her, no more long distance bills. We will get more for other family members soon. The online voicemail, which I save to disk, totally rocks.

I really dont' have anything bad to say at all.

I'm doing the Comcast 'triple play' and we've had it 45-60 days so far. It's kinda nice honestly. Same kind of thing with the voicemail. I'm saving about $30 vs. paying Qwest.

Amy recently got it for her work (business line) and it's works flawless.

I actually recommend it. We've used it a few times to call family rather than our cell phones because the audio seems better over the vonage phone. In fact, I can't really tell the difference from an analog land line. The free long distance is an extra big bonus.

We have Comcast cable and internet, but decided to go Vonage with the phone because it was cheaper. Had it almost 3 months. Love it.

Brad: I've got a 1.5m connection, that maxes out around 1.3.

Qwest is still f***ing with me and won't let us have a data line, but I haven't called them about that yet. I hate them and want to be as free of them as possible. Need their internet connection though. :(

I have a cell phone for calls in the US and everyone I know internationally has a computer so I just use Skype because it's free. I can see a few advantages to the Vonage though... I am glad they got their lawsuits settled with everyone that was raping them in court!

skype seems like a good idea too... does it let you call people w/out it? or does everyone have to have it?

The real utility, for us, is the $5/mo virtual numbers. Lets family back east call us for free, and costs us much, much less than either cell use or LD.
