Ok, plain and simple. Pick out of the list (for those that dont see thier favorite tire on the list, thats what "other" is for, pick that). then post up and say why its good and whatever else. also, if you pick other, list the tire in your post. So, boys and girls, lets see what tire is the most popular....B.T.W.- this is a "best rockcrawling tire" thread, not the best rockcrawling tire for the street or what is best to put on a streetbeater pavement punder daily driver... so what is your choice? this isnt a thread for people to gian knowledge, just simply to vote for your tire of choice, like voting for a govornment official.

i voter other because i have no experience with any of those tires. the only real "crawling tires" i have really dealt with are the mtr's and they seem to do just fine for anything i attempt to drive on.

BFG Mud Terrains are my favorite.
Why do you post the same topic on every 4x4 board on the net?

iroks because i have them and love them. i watched them hook up in moab (on my jeep) when everyone elses mtr's where spinning and spinning and spinning
plus, its bias ply or nothing for my offroad only rig
hopefully this is the kind of response you are looking for

iroks are cheap too, but they have gone up in price... they were cheaper when i bought them

i have never been overly impressed with mtrs.
i can't believe they are as popular as they are. i think the popularity is fading or has faded though.
plus he said this is for rockcrawling, not street.

i didn't say they were overly impressive or anything. i'm just wondering why a lot of comp rigs run 40'' mtr's?

I disagree, for rocks MT/Rs are great fro me, but for the street is where I believe they suck.

free tires that happen to be the right size and width...

i'd much rather be sponsored by interco or maxxis

I guess my vote will come with a purchase of new tires. Next week I will buy either TSL/SX's 38x14.5x15 or Maxxis 38's. 4wheelParts has a 10% sale that looks good but I am still not convinced the 14.5 tire is for me. I have D60 axles and its just the tought of running air-balloons for tire's that bothers me. Presently I have 35x12.5x15 SSR's and dont like the tire's hard rubber on the rocks.

for the price, Iroks are better for the masses.....i have seen amazing things from bias Iroks....Krawlers and maxxis might be a little stickier, but they are a ton more money than Iroks.....so for my low dollar tastes.....bring the iroks!!!

I just got given new truxus mt's so im voting for them.

Well, my bro's cj has them and I swapped for a few weeks and liked them. Did well in moab. Stoked for a new set.

I've never seen a set of Iroks that looked new. Is that common that they wear out quickly? If I was going to build a crawler I'd choose them.

I dont think you can beat a set of grooved tsl on the rocks. Krawlers are good but way too expensive and not enough sizes. Irocs are great but.......they wear out to quick and the tread isnt deep enough to start with. Boggers work but they hop a lot and throw you sideways. I dont have any experience with maxxis but I think they look good. My buddy is running 39.5 pitbulls and I have been WAY impressed with them. They work in every terrain. Rocks, mud, sand, snow. If they make a 42 or a 44" tire like they say they are going to that will be my next tire. But for now........TSLs
