I need another hoop bent up for the back of my truck. Anyone with a bender want to make a few quick bucks? It's not even structural, so HREW will be fine. It's going to be used to support a tarp/canopy/soft top. I need a total of 4 bends. 2 90*, and 2 @ about 45*.

If you have a bender but no pipe, I can pick some up on saturday.

Ill be in your neck of the woods on saturday I am busy all day but I can drop my bender off to you in the morning and pick it up that night on my way back through if you want to tackle it yourself

wow, that's service! I've never bent tube before, so I'd probably end up needing 40' of it with all the screw-ups I'll do :D

THanks for the offer. I'm going to try to find someone who can bend it for me, and I can learn by watching. That way you don't have to load that thing up, and I don't have to throw away 30' of screwed up tube. But if I can't find anything closer, I'll take you up on your offer and learn to bend tube tomorrow.

THanks for the offer. I'm going to try to find someone local so you don't have to load that thing up and bring it to me. But if I can't find anything, it sounds like tomorrow might be "learn to bend tube" day.

watch some you tube videos and with as simple as your project is you will be able to figure it out no problem. Let me know!!!

Not a big deal at all Im not sure if Davy has a spot or a vice to mount the bender in. When i first started bending tube I found it was easier to draw out what i was doing on the ground and then just bend it to fit my life size drawing so you could lay the tube over the top of the template on the ground its not the quickest way to do it but when I was first learning it kept me from screwing up tube for sure

There is a pretty good set of instructions on how to do template bending right here starting on like page 8
