I'm betting (based on the picture alone) that he lost his left leg (unless his vascular surgeon was AWESOME), part of his large intestine, some of his small intestine, punctured his bladder, and most likely lost at least one of his kidneys. Another guess would be that he lost a considerable amount of blood and developed multiple infections within the following few days... assuming he lived...

according to Snopes, he was a car crash victim, and he died of infection later. I was thinking that there was no way that leg stayed viable with all the blood to it being blocked like that. Sure looks bad.

I really do wonder if he lived or not. I am sure that if he did we will see his story on Ripley's Believe It Or Not in the near future, or on some Discovery Health channel show.

I heard he lived and was walking normal after 6 months. I received that email a while back, but I deleted it, and it gave full details of how it happened and his recovery.
