Wasatch Cruisers?

Being a cruiser enthusiast for the last 10 years I have had little involvement in the Cruiser gatherings, groups, and clubs with the exception of building countless cruisers with Kurt and a few trail cleanups to keep up on community service. I recently decided I would get more involved seeing as how i'm shopping for my next cruiser. Since I receive countless tech calls and parts in-quarries, I seem to be a Go-To guy for Landcruiser and Toyota related parts and question.

So, a week or so ago I signed up for the Wasatch Cruiser and received the standard message: The Administration must review and activate your account.

It has not been activated... Now I am a member of numerous 4X4, antique Auto, Military Auto, Tech, Hunting, Fishing, Ect. forums and have never waited more than a day to be activated and welcomed to join.

So, I guess I have a few questions:

Is the Administration just slow?

Am I the only one to have had this issue?

Have I tainted my character in such a way to not be welcomed? (Quite Possible)

Does the fact I do not currently own a cruiser disqualify me?

I gave up. I had a Cruiser, a generous plan to get rid of all the Cruiser parts I couldn't use, and a genuine interest in the club. I guess I didn't know the secret handshake or something...

That or they have a strict no-gypsy policy and just didnt' tell me, lest I curse them or something. I think I was in a holding pattern for like 4 mos. Too long.

I also believe I have helped build many a members Cruisers! AND my last Cruiser drove away from my house into the hands of a new loving owner!

It took me a little while (several days to a week?) for forum registration to work. If I recall correctly, someone has to manually go in and approve your request.

I thought about becoming a member at one point, they have some cool trips and it seems like a good group that actually got out on the trail, but for various reasons I chose not to. I even became a member of the land cruiser association, but that's as far as it went.

if you read the activation email closely, you have to email the admin directly before they'll activate it. I ran into the same thing, not reading the email and just clicking the link like most forums.

I never recieved an email....

Oh, well I don't know then. Usually you get an auto-generated email from the board saying something like "click this link to activate" Can you log on to the forum? When I did mine I could log in, but couldnt do anything like start or reply to posts.

Maybe send an email through the contact link.

People have lives... And RyRy is the man that approves new members so rather than start a thread on a forum he (and most WC members don't use), perhaps you send him an email or utilize some other medium that will matter

The WC are a very active club and do cater exclusively to their members, we are not a forum rather a club of members that have a forum to facilitate communications pertinent to the club. We do have minimum activity requirements that are enforced. Hope that clears things up.

Wow, I can hear your tone of voice through the text. However, I'm glad you could clarify things for me. This thread did exactly as it was intended to do, answer a few mild questions. Thanks Kurt!
