We have 5 oceans people

Saw this on another forum and it was news to me. Apparently some scientist decided after lots of debate in 2000 that we needed to "create" another ocean. Seems about as awesome as taking Pluto away from us.

Hmm. Apparently this is old news. I feel dumb for not picking up on this information years ago.

The IHO published the third edition of Limits of Oceans and Seas (S-23), the global authority on the names and locations of seas and oceans, in 2000. The third edition in 2000 established the existence of the Southern Ocean as the fifth world ocean.

When I taught geography years ago, I had parents amazingly upset that I was teaching that to their kids. They argued with me about it, until they saw it confirmed in a variety of sources. Funny.

As long as the flat Earth remains at the center of the Universe and the Cosmos wheels around our tiny insignificant disk of a planet everything else is irrelevant.
