I picked up a 32/36 weber cheap last week, put it on,and the truck run's way better than the stock carb, except when I pointed the nose straight up,some loss in power, time for some float tweekin,a fuel press reg, timing etc.
During install I noticed the adapter plate's have one big oval hole where as the intake has two circular holes for the butterfly's.
Question is wouldnt it be better to cut the intake to match the adapter plate's,i'd think the mix would flow better.

I caan't speak for your application but a little blending would probably help. I would try to keep the cutting to a minimum and blend as close to the mounting surface as possible. Try not to change the runners but blend the adapter to them.

I'll try to make more sense....I'm not wanting to do do nothing with the runner's,just where the carb sit's.
Stock setup...intake,spacer,to the carb match....two hole's straight down.
weber...carb and adapter's match, one big oval, but The intake, two single hole's,should be cut to match the adapter's.Did I make any sense?
Thank's

the way i read it is .. you have a dual plane intake and are wanting to know if removing the divider will increse low end power. I would say not a good idea. but a flow bench could prove me wrong

what i would recomend is ditch the downdraft setup up and go with dual side draft webers.

Correct,And wonderd if I would lose power throughout the rpm band:confused:
Maybe an aftermarket intake would be better.
