Wedding rings...

My wife told me the set and size that she wanted, I was most impressed with Jared. One of the cool things that Jared does is that if you want to upgrade later, you can use your ring and get the amount that you paid for it as a credit towards a new one as long as the new one is twice as much. Only problem is that both my wife and I don't want to have to give up her wedding ring, but it is a option. Other jewelers got some dumb founded looks on their face when I told them what type of set I was looking for, but Jared had about 6 different ones to choose from. As for the quality and such, they told me what all of it meant and showed me good ones and ones not as good, I just picked what I thought she would like, or what looked good to my eye since all she really cared about was getting the ring and moving forward.

I'm cheap so I bought mine from Fred Meyers Jewelers in the Orem mall. Was happy with price, quality, service, etc.
I wear mine all the time except when outdoors or working on a rig, my wife has a hard time with hers, so we are looking at getting rings tattooed.

I personally hate wearing rings or watches. I had mine and my wife's custom made. We were very happy with it but the woman who did it has since retired. I have purchased a diamond for each of my children to try to help them out. It seems that's the first thing a couple goes into debt for so I had a friend who sold diamonds and bought some nice diamonds from him. Its my way of helping them get a little start. My daughter just got engaged last Saturday and they used the diamond we bought for her. They got the ring from some jeweler in Bountiful and I know they liked him and got a great price.
