I just finished tearing down a travel trailer and have the frame now that just need's braced then wood layed down.I wanted to haul 2 zuk's with it but then I would need to extend the frame quite abit and then I'm not sure if the axle's could support the weight,So....

I had a thought that if I could load one vehicle on the trailer and build pocket's into the back of the trailer, where the front wheel's of the second vehicle could sit in,then strapped down and let the rear's roll on the pavement(like a dolly).I'm pretty sure it's possible but not sure on legality, any thought's??? or just a dumbass idea:rofl:

I have seen it done but its a dumb ass idea. When the trailer turns the rear will swing farther and faster creating a bind that would force your front wheel to pop out of the pockets. Some how it would have to pivot.

Thank's for the feedback.Actually it make's sense when I think about it and how the rear of a trailer react's when pulled. If a pivot were to be built it would have to be a strong piece to handle the load and stress...

So it may be better to just extend now and upgrade the axle's later on..Hmmm

Most travel trailer frames i have seen are not strong enough to haul one rig but thats just me.............

True....This frame is made out of 5" channel and 1/8th thick. The tire placement will be right on the side rail's so if I run about 8-10 peices of channel across and then run 2x12's for decking it will be plenty strong to haul my samurai and or the wife's tracker. Both of them dont even tip 6k together and I know the trailer was heavier than that.

If you had one on the front of the trailer and one hanging off the back would that make it sway because there woudln't be enough weight on the tongue or would it not matter since only half of the rig would be on it?
