Welding Help

I am curious if any would be willing to give me a hand with some welding?

Here is the story, I found a Dana 60 rear axle but the leaf spring perches are 4" wider than I need and the dope welded some 4" lift blocks to them. I need to cut off the blocks, and move the perches in 2" on each side.

I don't have a welder and wouldn't trust my welding skills (I haven't welded for 5-6 years). Any help would be very much appreciated!!

If you bring it to me I will weld it for you. The problem is with gas costs it would probably be less to have a shop close to you do it.

I could that, it will be on a trailer and I will pull it with my Explorer, so it wouldn't be too bad.

Most shops I called charge a minimum charge that is much more that a full tank in the Explorer!

Thanks for the offer, I will let you know!
