Went for a ride Saturday... I want a Harley!

A bunch of us from work got together for a ride Saturday. They had been plannning it for awhile and I about talked myself out of it a dozen times--I'm really glad I didn't. I borrowed my brothers Honda Shadow its a 750 that has been lowered (a lot), chopped and has a few other custom features. Even though it was the smallest displacement out of any of the others it still gets up and scoots! It's the grey one with flames.

We met in Logan and took 30 out to Wendover trough Snowville and Park Valley. While in Wendover we cooled off in the Rainbow and had lunch then it was back to the road. This time we headed towards Tooele and back that way. Either route is really long and boring in a car, but on a bike it was a riot It was 450 miles round trip...

Because nobody else saw beauty in the desert I was not able to get a lot of pics, but I will say that the area between Park Valley and the Nevada border is just awesome. We also say on of the best Sunsets I might have ever seen in Northern Utah. I snapped a pic, but it really does it no justice whatsoever :-\ Oh and there were a lot of exotic cars including this Ferrari V12!

I really want to piece together a bike similar to my brothers, but instead use a old school Harley or Triumph drivetrain. It will probably never happen, but its all I can think about right now

I rented a Harley Ultra and did all the National Parks in Utah at the end of June. It was a blast. My wife says it's either a Jeep or a Harley and the rest of the family has Jeeps. I'm still trying to come up with a way to buy a bike. I'm thinking Street Glide also, with a removable Tour Pack.

It's the same bike with shorter shocks. If I got a geezer glide I'd be putting the shorter SG shocks on it anyway, along with a removable Tour Pack and touring seat.
