fires are no fun.... :(

Sounds like no one got hurt. I am sure it will take a few weeks to sort out, but is there a chance for insurance coverage?

Unknown as of now for me. Im sure the owner and employees will all be ok with there valuables. But I gathered all my parts from forums and Ebay over the past few years, so I dont have reciepts to show proof, and I didnt have a work order through the machine shop, I just gave the parts to my buddy to do the work.

If it makes you feel any better. When I had a house fire almost 2 years ago, I figured that the insurance would do all they could to bury me. But I felt I was treated fair when it was all said and done. You may need to do some homework on their behalf to show them what the value of your items, but their adjuster can see that item "x" was damaged because of the fire, and they can place a price tag on that to have it replaced.

Being that it is a business, and that your parts were not official within the business system may or may not make a difference as compared to my residential claim. With our house fire it was a few months until it was all settled. So you may have to be patient too. Good luck.
