What are the best months to run the swell?

I would like to make a early spring trip to San Rafael Swell and was wondering what luck some have had with planning. I would like to miss the muck but could tolerate some cold nights.

Jan-Dec. It can be muddy there anytime during the year following rain or some warm weather to melt things off. Its hot in the summer, cold in the winter but really its a good year round spot.

Dry is good. If your camping it depends on if your in a tent or camper. Tents are cold, but green river has cheap hotels in the winter ;).
Hiking or wheeling? ATV's or jeepin?
Hiking is awesome in the winter, As is wheelin. ATV's? anytime exept (sp) winter.
I'd go before Memorial day if your planning spring, as it gets busy after. Theres no way to plan for dry weather there though, I've been snowed on on Memorial day in the Swell.
You really can't go wrong unless it's raining.

Just got back home, wow what a good trip. We ran north and south cole wash and then up eva (something) trail (cant remember all the names right now), it got pretty hairy in some spots because there was almost 2 feet of snow on some of the ledges but on average I would say about 6-8" inches. Anyway a long day but well worth it, I will post a couple of pics later.
