What do you think.....too tall?

Guess it's just weird to me right now after adding new rear springs and adding about 2 inches to the rear and 1 to the front. Taller

Maybe it just need's 35's now ;) And the front end needs to be pushed forward

That and I need to burn up the 33's first. Time to get heavy on the throttle around corners and get the locker doing it's job........aka, spit rubber!

Why go to 35's? Just curious.. IS it for cool factor? or function? When you're wheeling, do you get shut down by obsticles/trails due to having a 33" tire? Also, MPG's will suck even more in the XJ.... Think about it...

And yes, I've been hung up on some trails because I didn't have the clearance under the axle. Even if I did 35's, it wouldn't be for a while. I doubt my BFG AT's are going to be toast in the next year......

I'm sure we've all been hung up before.. I guess what i meant to ask was, does the amount of time you spend wheeling warrant the need for 35's? I finally broke down, and realised that I just didn't need the huge '85 4runner right now.

I do want 33's.. the 29's limit my clearance ;)

I think it looks like what a Cherokee should look like. I really wish they had frames, I could live with everything else. :( Anyway, x2 on pushing the front end forward some.

and I'd murder the rims, but they sure do look good. ;)

There's a snowballs chance in hell that I would ever run black rims on my rig :rofl:



Oh, and the front end looks really pushed back since the wheels are turned a bit.......it's not quite as bad as it looks ;) Carl will fix it for me! :)

I don't need 35's in all truth. I'm actually hoping these new springs will settle a bit in the rear and I can pull a spacer out up front.

lol what? Are 35's cool? WTF are you talking about?

Brett, I think all in all you'll be just as happy with 33's. You don't seem to be interested in doing anything much more difficult than what you do now, and it's not like your motor is going to be any happier trying to move 35's with the gearing you have.

Maybe if anything move to a slightly taller metric tyre when those wear out.

But I do think the 33's look pretty small with the new height.
