What is the "compensation" issue?

Why is it that more than a few guys have asked what I'm "compensating for" by driving a large truck? The comment of the day yesterday was: "Are you going to get truck nuts for the large penis in your driveway?" I'M A GIRL for Pete's sake, no compensating here, just love my big ole truck. So, what gives???

I just find it bizarre and it makes no sense to me. Maybe the problem is really that I don't make any sense and by driving a lifted truck that just furthers the whole non-sense making point.

I think you're taking it way to personal, and yes, I think to some extent you are driving something nicer than most of those asking that rediculous question, so they may be a bit jealous. This is a perfect oportunity to have a little fun with these guys. Don't pass that up. Mabey something like, "oh this is my daily driver, you should see my big one" or something like that.

Definitely jealousy, or they are feeling the need to compensate by making remarks. Who knows... It must be the flame gauges that's really making them jealous.

That's funny! I must admit though, the first time I was asked what I was compensating for, the first thought that popped into my head was "nothing, I'm not small chested!"

I hate to even admit this, but the thought did cross my mind to put a "korrupt kitten" on the antennea just to horrify our goody-goody friends! Can you imagine me pulling up to a homeschool Mom's function with one on MaKenzie???
