What would happen if I ran 4wheeldrive with 5:29 ratio in the front and 4:10 in the rear? What would this be hard on?

The front would turn slower than the rear. The T case would go boom..

that is... unless you had an atlass II Tcase, then you could use use the fronts only, or the rear only.... but I think getting another R&P would be a cheaper, and easyer solution..

Randy's R&P suggests you may go with a 1% difference for street driven, 2% for trail only. You're talking a 30% difference. Running different size tires in the rear would allow this to work, quick and inaccurate math says you need to run 33" front, 44" rears, Rat Fink style. :D
