I have a guy that wants to trade me this runner for my crawler, at first I was all for it thinking it would be easier to sell than my crawler. The first couple of pictures are the first that he sent to me, then I recieved the rest. I'm thinking i'm not going to be able to get much out of it.

What would you pay???

At best, I'd only count on getting whatever low-book trade-in is. Seems like it's got enough scratches and dents that it's going to cost quite a bit to recondition. Is it still IFS (seemed like it, but I'm not a Toyota expert at all)?

What motor? Has it been regeared for the larger tires? Manual?

What are you looking for, I mean you're trading a killer solid axle, locked 4Runner for a questionable IFS 4Runner. One just drives a little nicer (Or atleast it should).

I wouldn't pay too much for his, I think 2nd Gen 4Runners can be picked up fairly cheap if you look hard enough.

I'd buy it for 1500-2k unseen/drove.... But it's for my mom  I'm sure if you are trading a buggie for it. you'll loose without cash too. what do yuo think your buggie is worth? Compare that to trucktraders rough cost on a similar vehicle....

Sorry for the poorly written first edition, I'd been up all night when I wrote it.

Here's the deal I figured it would be easier to sell a mostly stock 92 runner rather than a really modified 87, 92's in the auto trader are going for 4900-5900, i'm asking 4800 for my 87. I figured he I could easily get that (judging from the first couple of pictures he sent me a week ago) I come home this morning after asking him for a some more detailed pictures without the mud on it. To see a giant dent in the front bumper, rear tail light, above the tail gate, scratched to hell, and a pretty thrashed interior.

So I start thinking this is a pretty bad deal. And thought I would see what my fellow RME'er thought.

Thanks for your imput.
