Welcome to the site, got pictures?

No offense but why do Texans think their state is so cool?

I have met tons of Texans here in Provo and they all have Texas clocks, bumper stickers, door mats, towels, flags, tatoos, clothing, dash mats, seat covers, stain glass windows, shoes, lighters, backpacks, ect...

... and worse, they think they are cooler then everyone else cause they are from there... they are worse then the So CA people!

Anyways, as you get closer to getting here, if you leave your Texas sized Texas ego at the door my buddies and I will show you around these parts :D

Hope you didnt take that hard, Im not trying to be an ass, its just one my biggest annoyances.

yeah, welcome to the site...

along the same lines of what gksspot said, I think Californians are worse than Texans :D...the thing with people from Texas is they really like their state (thats good, something to be proud of) and think its the best state, but the people from California think THEY are so much better than anyone else (they know their state sucks but their egos are still a little large ;))

Back on topic :p

yeah, let us know when you will be coming. I am sure there are plenty of people that will be happy to show ya around. There is almost always a trail ride in the works on here so getting to know the locals and the places to ride is pretty easy ;)

Of course we need PICS of your rig, it's just not right without them

Yeah I agree. Ca. does suck and most people from it :D but it is near in beauty to Utah... but supergrpr, you obviously have not lived around alot of Texans! I run into them EVERYDAY on campus and they drive me nuts... anyways enough ranting... lets see the ride!

And of course you will be welcomed out here in Utah county... it seems that most young people around Provo/Orem arnt from here anyways... I assume you are young... why else would you be coming to Provo/Orem? Work I doubt it... hope your pennies are saved cause you wont be making much out here!

Other advise, check out Trip Reports section to see some local trails and what they have to offer as well as the Moab threads of course.

Lift Laws

Yeah, I'm takin' some night classes. I know the work isn't all that hot up there, but I'll be on the look. Hopefully, I can find a lil' fab shop or mechanic shop. I can do structural iron also.... I like playin' on the balance beams. So, I'm hopin' I'll be alright. Hey can anyone tell me about the lift laws up there? One guy tells me they don't ever stop ya... another tells me they got crazy laws for everything and I better get it together before I go?

We do have lift laws, sometimes they are followed sometimes they aren't...BUT most shops will not pass ya on Safety if you are not legal...check out this thread for the law and its wording...it depends on you vehicle as to how much lift you can have. IMO, its a pretty good setup how they have it. As others have said on here before, its a good guideline for a stable and safe rig.

Maybe hes trying to keep the forum decent... If I had a real job and was on the forums a little bit while at work, the Boss might look at me weird if I had dancing sluts on my screen :D

got stuck in Texas once, borrowed my bro-in-laws Blazer for a Christmas eve run down to Galveston. tooled past the stilt houses, then out to the beach and stared at the tankers for a while......funny how soggy sand gets when the tide comes in, kinda like quicksand? grabbed 4wd and the rear sunk deeper, looked underneath at the spinning front yoke, san dshaft....nice!!
Luckily a herd of giggling surf fishers gave me a shove just in time and made my holiday merry........ but enough about me, welcome TJ.

Did I ever say I was offended by it? What I told you was that the RME rules say that there is no sexual content allowed. If I were at work, and my boss saw a dancing girl on my screen (fully clothed or not) I could get in huge trouble. I'm sure there are other people in the same situation here. Our goal is to make RME a site that can be enjoyed in everyone's workplace, and living room. The rule is there to keep anything questionable off the site. We have had problems in the past with people pushing the limits of what is appropriate, and the only way we can fairly enforce it (because what's over the line to one person may not be to another), is to prohibit ALL sexual content. That's why your avatar was removed. Honestly, is it that big a deal? I'm sure you can find a cool four-wheeling related picture to put up as your avatar.
