The San Juan Mountains are great. Head down to the Ouray, Silverton area and check out some of the high pass roads down there.

I understand that right out side of Grand Junction has some great wheeling.
The 21 road is in that area and I know that Billings canyon is there also. ;)

Yeah, 21 road, and billings are pretty much the only things there to wheel.

Check out 4x4trails.net they have a ton of listings all over colorado.

Chinaman's gulch, iron chest spring creek, carnage canyon, independance...

Tell me what level of trail you are looking for and I can set you up. ALSO try going to www.colorado4x4.org That is the site which is most like this one, for colorado. I am from Colorado so I can tell you a lot of places to go, depending on where in colorado you will be.

Let me know(pm)

Cheers

I will second this. You need to head over in this area. I went out here 5 years ago for my Honeymoon, we stayed in Durango and drover over to the silverton area and explored.

Ditto on the San Juans. Great place to be. However, snow is a problem in the passes this time of year. Check on it before you commite to that area this spring!

Definitely would recommend the San Juans as well, but I'm a bit biased as I grew up in them! Silverton is perfect for base camp as there are a ton of old mining roads all around that area. As for the passes, they are all plowed by Memorial Day weekend. I'm not sure if Black Bear is, but I know for sure that Imogene, Cinnamon, Engineer, Hurricane, and California are clear for that weekend. This is going to be a great year up there as we got hammmered with snow so the walls up on top are going to be awesome!
