wheeling utah in a nevada buggy

So I'm hooked on utah wheeling but I have a unregistered homemade buggy (in nevada we don't need to be registered for off road only). I can get a OHV pass for California, do I need a pass for Utah? I plan on wheeling at least every other month if not more there. what do I need to do.

You'll need to have it registered somewhere, somehow. If it's registered as an OHV in CA that should be fine--if it's registered as an OHV in UT that's obviously fine as well. No need to have it registered in more than one state--if you could even really accomplish that.

I'm not sure how it works with OHV tags for buggys, but for motorcycles and snowmobiles I know there are some states that require you to have a current registration for that state. Idaho is a great example, even if you have a UT registration you need to get an ID tag as well...

I do not believe UT is this way in fact I'm pretty sure if it has a tag outside of the state as long as it does have a tag you are ok. Of course you might want to make a few calls to verify.

I Have been to the dunes (sand mountain/little sahara) many many times over the last 10+ years with my bro and his friends from Mequiet, unless it has changed from two years a go( the last time the G rangers pulled us over) all the rangers asked for was proof that they lived in Nevada(drivers lisence). and your right about california, they had to get temp regs for the dumont trips. On one trip i was ridding my bros bike and got pulled over, i had a utah driveres licnce but could not prove who owned the bike (nevada, no registration requierd) it just about got impounded.
