I need to find something to go into my YJ, what vehicles do you find flat top 44's in?

Look at Wagoneers. The place I can get them at for ~80 bucks I just go to the Wag section and look for em. They have a bunch of wag's out there. You pull it but for ~80 bucks who cares about a few scraped up fingers! They never have rear axles though. :-\

Ah, thanks. looks like I'm going out there Tomorrow. What tools should I take? It'd be nice to have one of those cordless sawzalls (sp?).

I would take a BFH, tierod seperator, around 3/4 wrench's (not sure exact bolt size but they are around 3/4), crescent wrench, visegrips, needlenose pliers, and a hacksaw. Best thing to do is hack the U bolts then tighten them down so they break. Then you have to remove the front spring hanger bolt, remove the shock, and then remove the break lines. Oh yeah, don't forget the draglink to pitman arm assy. Take the steering components and the U bolt plates as you will probably want to use them.

Where are you going to look for a Wag?

that would be a nice install, I'd jump on this one Crimson. I can't count the times I have wished my 44 was high pinion.

Easy tiger..

What?!? He has a point, he was offered the axle in reply to a request he made, wayne was out of line trying to snipe the axle. :ugh: And there was nothing offensive or angry in his reply.

That may be true.. but how many other times has some one else wanted a product other than the orginal poster? It might have helped if he worded it different like,

If crimson doesnt want it then I might ...

anyways as always just my opinion.

I wasn't trying to step on his toes...I meant that if he didn't take it, I was very interested. There are lots of times people will post up something for someones needs and them not want it, either because of cost or other reasons. I was simply letting him know that if it didn't sell, I was interested. That's all....
