Is DOM a good steel to use on a exo cage for a 3k LB sammy? What would the size and thinkness need to be to withstand the slight rollover?

Yes, DOM is great steel to use for cages and exos.

For a sami, look into 1.5" .120 wall. Should suit your needs perfectly. I don't currently have a source up here though.

I was just about to say that you should contact Rocklogic!

Seth sold me a 4 foot piece for a new draglink recently, and the price was extremely reasonable for such a small quantity. Actually, I need to get a piece for a new tie rod. I'll definitely be going straight to Rocklogic when I get around to that project.

Rock logic is a great place for that.
If you need it locally, go see Rick at Ipaco, show him your rig, then ask for the tubing.

how much is a small amount? If you are doing a exo, I would think you will need 2 to 3 sticks of tubing.

yep, my guess would be 3-4 sticks with 1.5 and some supports for a long wheelbase samurai. Are you gonna replace the front clip etc too? Your probably about the right about of money for marmon keystones minimum order.

I was going to do an exo cage on the entire thing so I will have a big order. I will prabably go with a thinker wall on the steering so I never have problems.
