I have a friend that lives in south-sac (Elk grove) he has a 22 with subsonic ammunition that he keeps by a open bedroom window. Talking to other people I know in the area that's normal it seems that car theft is hi so is theft in general he has had his 4 runner broken in to two time in the last month along with two stolen catalytic converts. It seems that the 22 subsonic rounds are nice and quiet and the thieves won't go to the hospital for a 22 round way to many questions. His neighborhood is a little to hard core for me. It looks like we will be out the 29th I cant wait to go look around you guys have been a huge help.

Car insurance covers stolen cats and CD players...

Guns cover the nut that is in your house at 3am uninvited...

When I lived in North Sac i used to park my cj-7 in the back yard with the dog every night, and I would be up all night listening to the dog bark..

You would think so but I know of more than one person that live in the area and that seems to be normal not all of them use a 22 . they live on the edge of the geto that just seems normal. Most of the time the police don't have time to deal with theft in that area.so the people deal with it in there own way. Most of the people stealing in the area are tweakers or just lowlifes that doesn't make ok but its excepted.

There is a big difference. I don't see it myself but what would we all do if the cops were no help at all and it was a daily problem? You can't turn in an insurance claim every other day. What would that cost you and how long would it be before they cancelled you? More importantly you should NOT have to put up with that day in and day out.

Tough call. (in my best monty python impersination) It's only a flesh wound!

I just wanted to let every one know that Utah is great. I just got back and thought it was fantastic we looked all over the Provo orem area. I cant believe for a larger area how clean it is I even looked for bad areas nothing like California. Its odd clean and friendly we went to a lot of the smaller towns all of them seemed nice. But Spanish fork is my favorite. Thanks again for all the Help
