tax time is coming and it looks like I get to play with a little cash before spring.

The problem is I can't decide where to spend it. I have three finalists but I am open to other ideas,

#1 Bead Locks, after losing a bead in Price a set of Trailready's are at the top of the list.

#2 203 doubler, the idea of 4lo and 4 lo lo just makes me smile

#3 upgrade the tow rig, they are making some cool toys for a CTD these days.

What do you think?
Any other ideas?

You could donate to my private fund :greg:

But of your choices I would go with beadlocks. If you pop a bead it puts a big damper on the rest of the trail ride.

do you think I have that kind of self control?

Need toys now, must have toys. :D

besides if this doesn't go into the jeep, it will probably end up in the remodeling headache that I currently call a basement. ;)

With a grand I don't see why you can't do both 1&2.

the doubler is adapter is $750 alone, then I would need new drivelines and such.

How do you figure?

I think I understand the idea on the bead locks a set of DIY bead lock would be around $300 or so... 8 rings at $35 bucks each plus bolts...

but I don't think the rims I have to start with are worth a whole lot ;)

Well you didn't say anything about drive lines.... :p

Get the doubler (which is the big cost) and the DYI locks = $1,050.00 and save up a couple of pennies for the D Lines... Easy as that.

Drive lines who needs drive lines? :p

besides I need to come up with a donor 203 on top of that. :)

Keep the ideas coming...

This is the reason I asked. ;)

If'n I was in yer sitiation... I'd get some DIY beadlock rings, and the doubler parts with the G burnin' a hole in your pocket. Then I'd get creative with my drivelines, and build them myself for free. I think you can get the #1 and #2 jobs done. Skip the high dollar beadlocks, they're no better than the DIYs.

#4 Buy a tube bender so that you and your neighbors can fab up some cool stuff. ;) Build some bumpers and sliders and sell them to pay off the bender and get #'s 1-3.

Well, what I would do is get the doubler from Stazworks, its not as bling as the aluminum ORD one BUT it also only costs about $400-$500...then you can do your d-line mods still AND the DIY locks...oh, and if you aren;t getting the 203 for free or <$10 then you are getting ripped off...I know I have gotten 4 203s, 3 for free and 1 for $10...;)

The doubler and a compressor. I have seen some beads reseated by an old a/c compressor that I would have never thought possible. Either that or just a can of starting fluid and a lighter, but I haven't seen that one even though I suggest it from 50 yards back all the time.
