Which Ford 8.8

I am looking to do an 8.8 swap into my TJ. I want to eventually get the superior super 8.8 kit. It calls for a 96+ axle with disc brakes. If I dont know the year but know that it has disc brakes does that mean its a 96+ explorer?

96-99/00 Ford Explorer. Basically any Exploder rear end after 1996 and before they went to Independent rear.

hmm ok, so that would be the axle i need to be looking for? good.

and if you look hard enough you might find the one with a limited slip in it and 4.10 gears...
