When the choice is microbrewery or distillery I’ll pick the distillery 90% of the time. Stopped at this one in Pendleton, Oregon and bought a bottle of this. Also picked up a 4 pack of bloody Mary’s ina can made with their horseradish Vodka. I’ll report back on that later.

I'm not huge into scotch, but I do enjoy port finished whiskey. I'll have to give that one a shot

Not gonna lie I'm drinking 3-4 fingers of plain ole' Mr. Jack Daniels tonight. It's been a F@#$ing long week between getting called back into work every night, canceled second job shenanigans resulting in a 19hr work day, parenting and the top of the cake, locking myself out of a second job computer access card that I might not be able to remedy until 2023 due to the time of the year....

Rant over....

Recommend me a whiskey! I’d like to expand my pallet. 😀

My favorite go to is Jameson Black Barrel… I liked writers tears and quiet man quite a bit too. Not typically a fan of scotch, the peat just doesn’t do it for me.
What say the whiskey wizards?

This one isn't to bad if you like Jameson? I also really like the salt flats bourbon as a local spirit.

jamo black barrel is an easy drinker. I used to pick that up for camping trips. I'd probably say try redbreast, which is fancy Jameson. It's just the pot still juice, not blended. The maccallen double cask 12 is scotch, but drinks like an Irish whiskey. Very smooth.

The sugarhouse single malt is really nice too.

There are lots of good bottles, but those three are all readily available. If you lean more towards Irish whiskeys you're in a good place. The bourbon dweebs haven't ruined them for everyone quite yet (or cognac/armagnac). The clock is ticking.

Had a friend give me a gift box for my birthday. Had whiskey stones, custom engraved glass and a stone coaster all in a felt lined presentation box. Thought I'd test it out tonight with a bottle of Sugar House Bourbon.
