Huh. What's there? I don't think I've ever heard of White Rock. I'm assuming four wheeling of some sort? Got any pictures or video?

Do you have GPS coordinates? I'm trying to find it on Google Earth or something and I'm having trouble determining where 29.6 miles is.

Who knows we may find Jim Morrison. Really I haven't been out their for like 10 plus years. Sometimes its fun to go check out random places just because. If exploring a place you don't know what you will see is not your thing this may not be for you.

Exploring is fun, but it would be nice to at least know what vehicle to bring. Since it was posted on this forum I thought there would be four wheeling involved. For general exploring and bombing through the desert I prefer my truck. For four wheeling/rock crawling I will need to bring the Jeep. I was just trying to figure out what kind of a trip this is. Since you are planning the trip and even put together a PDF I figured you would know what kind of trip it was.

Not much in the way of four-wheeling at White Rock proper, the RC guys have a riot playing on the rock formation but its not a Little Moab. Passenger cars can drive right to the route. There are some fun loops and routes in the area but just good exploring.

I have wheeled at white rocks years ago. There were a few fun lines. Rock resembles cinder block.

Great winter camping and exploring. I wouldn't get excited about wheeling on the rocks.

I asked Jake "deviant" to elaborate on the the why not aspect of this trip, this is how it went.
Q : If I am sick of being cooped up in the house and cant wait to get out in the great outdoors is this a good trip for me?
A : Yes.
Q : If I enjoy Standing around a campfire with a red cup surprise telling offroad stories is this a good trip for me ?
A : Yes
Q : If I enjoy cooking my meals in a pie iron is this a good trip for me ?
A : Yes
Q : If i want to go somewhere new that I have never been to before and may never want to visit again : ) is this a good trip for me ?

This weekend I'll be fixing/painting my door but I'll probably head out there the next weekend. Maybe take the long route past 5-mile, rush valley, ect.

T-Minus 3.5 days. got the batteries charging for the R/C crawler. Weather looks like it is going to be perfect.

I have never been there, thats the main reason why i am going. Dont believe there are any vault toilets. Im planning on doing some hiking, rc crawling, plinking some cans with the 22, and enjoying a campfire.

But seriously if exploring a place you have never been and meeting new people isnt enough to occupy your ADD then plan on bringing a rubix cube or somthing.About 15 years ago I went to what I believe was an underground concert out their. And truthfully all I remember is the light of the fire on the rocks. Its been calling my soul and I need to return.
We dont have a huge head count that I know of yet maybe 6 or 7 but I'm still super excited for the weekend. This cant be any colder than the freeze your tail off trip I made for the first time this year. I now have a new passion for winter camping.
