I've been having issues with my warn 9.5ti lately and just need to find out who can work on them. Unless it's pretty easy to work on then I can do it. It sounds like the relay in the top cause it will click but not work unless I hit the top of the winch then it works until I let go of the button. Any help is appreciated

They have a thing for loose wires. It's a bit of a pain but I had to do it on mine. Loosen all the big allen bolts holding the two halves together. From there remove the upper plate covering the solenoids. Start checking for loose wiring. If it is an actual solenoid that has gone bad they are pretty easy to change out.

I thought Warns had a lifetime Warranty. What is there Warranty and do you have to have the Purchase receipt to claim the warranty. I thought 6 states did a lot of Warranty work also.

Yea, you need proof of purchase. I ended up buying the parts from Six States and fixing mine myself.

sorry this post is so old, but i have a different brand, and it's not a big winch. just big enough for my atv. and it isn't working. i tried calling six states and they acted like they didn't want to or care to know about it. did i talk to the wrong person? or is there some other place that fixes winches? on mine i think the "freewheel knob" is broken, it won't let the motor turn loose. or i can't disengage the freewheel nob to manually pull the cable out! any help? thanks.

Six States is not exactly a touchy feely kind of place at the counter or on the phone, but if you go in there, Jon will treat you well.
