i still can't grasp the use of a frigin text message.why spent all that time slow typing a conversation that takes 2 seconds to speak
You ever call people that sometimes can't answer at work? Ever have to sit through meetings, conference calls, classes, etc where you can't talk but would like to communicate with someone? Ever have small comments, questions, statements, expletives, etc that you'd like to tell someone but it's not worth the trouble to pick up the phone, dial, and make them answer at that moment? Ever have lots of small comments you'd like to make over a long period of time, but don't want to spend that whole time on the phone (example, your coworker is a big Nuggets fan and you like to abuse him all during the Jazz/Nuggets game). Ever leave a voice mail for someone, and they call you back when you're not available, and then you call them back and they're not available, etc?
A call that would take two seconds to make would take one second to text, and if the person can't pick up right away, they'll read it when they are available, and answer you back. It might take you a long time to send one now, but if you use it a little bit you end up getting really fast. Text messaging is great. I text more than I talk, both for business and personal use. Try it, you'll understand in no time.
