treadlightly
On Land and Water
This is a question that I think about often and I share my reasons whenever I can, and if you've shared a fire with me you've probably heard my reasons. But I'm interested as to why everyone else chooses to Tread Lightly.
My personal reasons are many; to preserve our access, to keep things in good shape for the next person, because it's the right thing to do, etc. As I've become a father though, what has become a large factor is teaching my two kids how to do things the right way. Whenever we stop on the trail, they are always looking for trash to pick up, or asking about this or that. I've come to love teaching my kids about the outdoors and building that ethic in my kids.
So what motivates you to "Tread Lightly"?
