Willy's Flat Head

anybody know anything about these engines? my buddy has one and he said some guy told him its worth alot cuz it has some special anti rust coating that they only sprayed on the WWII ones, kinda sounds fishy to me but here are some pics of it, any info would be great thanks!

Its not WW2 vintage, at least the head isn't. They don't have Willys or Jeep cast into them. Get me a pic of the engine serial # stamped into the flat above the water pump opening and I can give you more detail as to year and what it was in. Either way, there was no special coating put on any military jeep engine.
