You can usually slide the wiper arm off the stub that moves them. Then move it to the right possision before sliding them back on. Someone probably had it off and put it back in the wrong possision.
I will go out and try that shortly...Do you pull the stub out (towards you) then twist it back into the correct place?
The arm usually sides off the stub. There might be a little clip under the arm where it slides on that you have to pry out with a screw driver. When I put the soft top on my Bronco I had to put a drop bracket on the wiper motor. It is mounted above the windsheid and it has some linkages that go to the wipers. When you do that it changes the geometry of the linkages and it makes the wipers hang down alittle. I had to take both sides off and move them up. Hope this helps you out.
Oh, I know what you are talking about..I actually did try this before, but refer to a couple post up for the results^^^
My dad told me it has to be something with the motor. Because when I turn the switch on, the first movement is down. (towards the original postion, then back up, to complete the wipe.)
The motor itself is wired backwards. Find the motor and switch the wires.
