Any one running it?

pros ?

Cons?

I don't want a panhard and with a wishbone upper instead triangulated uppers I could get it longer and keep the pinion angle from changing while suspension cycles

Is there a specific reason you don't want a panhard bar? If you're going to have a steering box, you'll be happier with one long term.

Other than that, comparing a wishbone 3-link to a triangulated 4-link:

Pros for wishbone: One less joint to buy

Cons for wishbone: The one joint is loaded wrong (shank in bending). No adjustment for centering the axle. Usually harder to build and fit than two uppers (since it needs to be stronger in different directions)

Carl I will be running full hydro.

No panhard because I don't like the side to side movement of the axle when going through whoops.

Wishbone because I could bend it to go around my oil pan and then run parallel down my frame so I could get better length on the upper.

I'd bend some pieces to go from one side of the wishbone to the other.. So they would go under my tranny and motor connecting the the sides adding strength

The biggest reason for a panhard is now eliminated. :)

Fair enough.

Bending of already-bent tube is the worry there--so if you make a nice "basket" out of it, it could work well for you--especially if you're fairly lightweight.

What do you have planned for the suspension joint at the single point? Whatever it is, orient the through bolt vertically.

i have some 1.25 hiems from ruff stuff and yeah i plan to run the bolt verticaly i learned that when i had a wishbone rear and ran it horizontal.. never had any problems but thats because i am so light and under powered!

when im done this will be quite abit heavier then it used to be but hopefully have a ton more horse power! 150! still nothing but alot better than 34 that i had!

heres what it looks like right now

22r dual cases dana 44s i will be running 37s and 40s until i can find some sticky 40s
the pic is on 37s with 110 wb and 22 frame height

if i stay at 110" i will go frame height of 20

if i move the rear axle back 2 more inches putting me at 112 i will go down to 21 frame height

carl thanks for you input i'd like to meet you some day and sit down and take notes from you.

also i will be running 14 inch fox coil overs up front and 18 inch air shocks in the rear.. with a coil.. :)
