Hate all you want, haha, but as the first day of riding it, I'm more impressed with it than I thought I'd be, I drove it to work, sugarhouse to sandy, and it really only took about 6 or 7 minutes longer than normal. Then I drove over to Kurts, then home depot on 33rd, then home(to make a longboard rack) then to 9th east and second south(now with my sister on the back) then "The Pie", then a friends house, the a few long board runs(towing longboarders up hills) then home..... And all that and I still have over 3/4 of a tank of gas!! I was able to comfortably cruise at 35 on most any street, and I could get it up to 40 if I had to. With the sis on the back it was about 5 mph less, not bad to cruise abound city streets. I was definatly able to manuver around the U of U area faster than in my land cruiser.
Any way here was today's build(this is the result of boredom because my Toyota's motor is still at the machine shop).... LONGBOARD RACK
This is the factory rack thing
This is my board sitting on it, as you can see there isn't much meat to hold it in place or to tie it down to
So I bent up an extendo rack
Here it is welded and painted, didn't take long, looks pretty factory, if don't look to close, and now I can strap my long board to the back
