It's in our DNA to be afraid of spiders. For some reason, it's programmed into our survival instinct. Even if you've overcome the fear, you still look upon spiders with a greater "respect" than other insects.

So, you just happened to have a glass jar while you were hiking to catch the spider and bring it home??? ;)

No, I picked them up and put them in a side pocket of my pack:eek: The pocket is pretty loose, and I made sure not to smash it.

I figured they were Wolf, but they were much larger than what I thought were large Wolf Spiders before. My wife thought I was nuts when I opened my pack to show her:rofl:

My chickens were fighting like crazy over them after I took the pics:D

Maybe he had a white piece of paper, a quarter and a bright light.

Hell, I didn't even have a camera:( I did have a 12 Ga. though. My morning started out crow hunting. I've seen hundreds of Crows the last couple mornings out hiking, until I bring a shotgun..

They always know not only that you have a gun, but how far that gun will shoot, and how far you can shoot that gun..... then they stay about 10 yards past that.

That's some cool photography! What were you using?

Thanks,
I took them to my studio for a free portrait session:D I use Canon gear, those photos were taken with a 1D MarkIII and a 100mm macro lens. For the close up I used a macro flash ring, hensel strobes were used for the others.

That sure seems to be the case. The past couple days they have let my lab get within 15' of them:confused: Maybe tomorrow I'll take the .204 or AR.

It's well documented.... by me.... I used to take my .264 WIN with some 100gr spitz or my .220 with VLCs (both loaded to the nutz) and concentrate on the idea that I had a 30-06.... it almost always worked.

I mostly shoot stuff with a camera anymore :/

Were they extremely aggressive? We had a Wolf Spider in our shed out back that attacked the sticky board when we got close to it. Sunk it's fangs into it.
