And now, for something entirely different.............

I'm always amazed by the engineering on the rigs that show up to WOTR. This one looks like a 1:1 scale RC car. For perspective, the strikingly handsome gent in the picture is 6' 2". I didn't get to see it in action on the trail, but the Chevy TPI power beauty is all business.

These guys are from price, they were staying at the same place i was so we talked quite a bit. ran chain reaction with them and it performed great, but like he said its a little wide for most stuff in SH but it was awesome to watch in the sand.

And now, for something entirely different.............

ya the angle iron and c bar exo caged yota towed from colorado behind a 3.0 4runner. it had death written all over it. and after watching him on the maze i dunno how that guy is still alive, rolled about 7 times in 1/4 mile. but i thought the stack it had was cute ha ha i got lots of pics of it i'll have to post.

With Rick coaching on the radio, Hunter worked this little truggy up whatever he pointed it at.........fun to watch this father/son team on the trail.

Thanks for posting the pics, this trip was the turning point in rock crawling for Hunter, Thank you to all of you who took the time to talk to him about his truck and his driving abilities, He was so excited, for the first time he was telling me on the radio what line he was going to take and to only help him when he asked for it, he soon realized that even though he is in the driver’s seat, it is a team sport and the spotters are just as important or more so than the driver. He had a great time, he was excited to be there and show everyone he could do it, again a big thanks to everyone who helped us out, especially John and Chin, I could not have made this happen with out your help!!

That is Chin's '95 4Runner and to his credit, the drivetrain is 100% stock aside from a rear lockrite. He embodies the mantra "slow as possible, fast as necessary"
