So a friend of mine decided he needed a YZ Exhaust Cam in his WR after riding mine. He proceeded to put it in but never zip tied the cam chain to his intake cam so the chain would NOT slip. Well, it slipped. I don't know how many teeth it slipped other than it did slip.

So now I am helping him get it back running and I have set it at TDC based on the "I" mark on the flywheel, set the dot on the intake cam level to the head, put in the exhaust cam with 13 chain pins between exhaust and intake cam, put it all back together and nothing. I have done this so many times now that I am frustrated and pissed and it takes me a lot to get to that point.

It has spark and it has fuel. Am I overlooking anything?

There are usually 2 marks on the flywheel, I could be wrong on this particular model. My only guess is that you have it on the wrong mark.

However, I would still think that it would start

You are right, there are two marks, one is a l--l or what they call an "H" mark the the other is a "l" mark which you line up with a mark on the case.

Russ,

I seem to remember when I did my valves that the mark farthest counter-clockwise was the mark to use.

I have a factory shop manual for the newer WR engines.
